Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, representing Nasarawa West Senatorial District, stirred excitement among supporters at the All Progressives Congress (APC) Nasarawa State Secretariat on Monday, charging them to continue spreading the message of his gubernatorial ambition with the chant, “Wadada Gwamna!”

Addressing a large crowd of loyalists, party stakeholders, and youth groups who gathered to welcome him, Senator Wadada reaffirmed his commitment to good governance and inclusive development in Nasarawa State. He urged supporters not to relent in their grassroots mobilization, saying, “Continue to tell them, ‘Wadada Gwamna!’ Let them hear it in every ward, every polling unit, every community. We are ready for the next chapter.”

Wadada, who defected from the Social Democratic Party (SDP) to the APC earlier this year, has his eyes focussed on the governorship seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.
His recent moves, including political consultations and increased visibility across the state, have fueled discussions as frontrunner in the contest of governorship of Nasarawa state.

He praised the APC in the state under the able leadership of Governor Abdullahi Sule for maintaining party unity and further thanked him for his leadership role in the state. while also praising President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Keffi- Nasarawa- Toto- Abaji road intervention, Senator called on the people of Nasarawa state to continue to support the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as well as that of Engr. Abdullahi Sule in its ramifications.

“We must build on what has been done, but we must also go further. Our people deserve more, more opportunities, more infrastructure, more security, and more empowerment,” Wadada said.

The atmosphere at the APC Secretariat was electrifying, with chants of “Wadada Gwamna!” echoing across the premises. Supporters displayed placards and banners, expressing solidarity and readiness to support his 2027 bid.

On his return to APC, Senator Wadada, firmly stated that no individual has the moral right to question his commitment or stake in the All Progressives Congress (APC), declaring his longstanding involvement and dedication to the party.

Speaking to party leaders and supporters, Senator Wadada emphasized his loyalty and contribution to the growth of the APC, asserting, “Nobody has a moral right to say I didn’t belong to APC or has more stake in APC than me.”

The lawmaker, who represents Nasarawa West Senatorial District, used the opportunity to call for unity within the party, urging members to put personal interests aside for the greater good of the APC ahead of the next elections.

The state Chairman of APC Dr. Aliyu Bello in turn, welcomed Senator Wadada back into the APC fold, commending his commitment to the ideals of the party and expressing confidence in his ability to strengthen the party’s influence in Nasarawa state.

He also commended Wadada’s leadership style, describing him as a bridge-builder with a clear vision for Nasarawa’s future.

As political permutations begin to take shape ahead of the next electoral cycle, Senator Wadada’s bold charge to his supporters signals his deepening popularity across Nasarawa State, a move that is likely to reshape the dynamics within the APC in the months to come.
However, Senator Wadada’s return is expected to realign political forces in Nasarawa State as the APC positions itself for future political contests.
