Musa Umar Yashi has been variously described as the ideal leader, the missing hero and the long-awaited saviour of the masses. He is a man whose life embodies selfless service, humility and visionary leadership, the kind of leader every society prays for.

A seasoned administrator and a leader for all seasons, Malam Yashi’s outstanding contributions to the socio-economic and political development of Bauchi State and beyond are not only visible but also deeply felt by the people. His record of service speaks louder than words, a testament to his integrity, competence and passion for human development.

Although he has never publicly declared his intention to contest for the Governorship seat of Bauchi State, the name Malam Musa Umar Yashi, the indefatigable Executive Director of the North East Development Commission (NEDC), continues to resonate as the people’s choice, a leader truly worthy of trust, confidence and collective support.

Indeed, Malam Yashi is a leader born to serve. He has been well-prepared, well-trained and thoroughly groomed for the noble task of governance, especially at this critical time in our State’s history.

Malam Yashi stands out as a patriotic leader who is deeply committed to the welfare, progress, and well-being of his people. Now more than ever, the good people of Bauchi State must rise in unity to identify with this God-sent leader, a true servant of the people and the hope of a brighter tomorrow. Malam Musa Umar Yashi is the visionary the State needs to reach greater heights and reclaim its rightful place among the most progressive States in Nigeria.

In the face of the current economic hardship confronting the nation, Malam Yashi has proven his empathy and commitment to the people by providing countless humanitarian interventions and relief initiatives. Through his tireless efforts, millions have received support and assistance to cushion the harsh effects of the prevailing economic reality.

Under his watch and contribution, the humanitarian situation in the North East region has greatly improved. Rehabilitation and reconstruction of affected communities are ongoing, restoring hope and rebuilding lives across the region.

It is therefore, no surprise that Malam Musa Yashi continues to enjoy massive goodwill, unwavering loyalty and the heartfelt prayers of his people. They see in him not just a leader but a destined reformer, a man of vision, integrity and compassion who can truly lead Bauchi State to the promised land come 2027.
