Senator Abdullahi Adamu: I’ll Support Anyone from Nasarawa West for Governor in 2027

Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and elder statesman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, has declared that he holds no grudges against anyone in Nasarawa West Senatorial District and would gladly support any candidate from the zone to become governor in 2027, regardless of personal or political differences.

Senator Adamu made the remark during a stakeholders meeting held at his Keffi residence today, Thursday and hosted by the Executive Chairman of Keffi Local Government, Hon. Idris Ahmad Damagani. The meeting was attended by the chairmen of Karu, Toto, and Kokona Local Governments, as well as traditional rulers, party stakeholders, and political leaders from across Nasarawa West.

In a candid address, Senator Adamu called for unity among leaders in the zone, stressing that internal divisions must give way to collective purpose if Nasarawa West is to take its turn in producing the next governor of the state.

He stated that he holds no grudges against anybody in Nasarawa West and that whoever God chooses from the zone to become governor in 2027 would receive his full support. He emphasized that what matters most is unity and speaking with one voice.

The former APC national chairman also urged political stakeholders to avoid unnecessary rivalry, adding that unity and mutual respect would strengthen the zone’s position in the state’s political landscape.

Local government chairmen present at the meeting commended Senator Adamu for his maturity and statesmanship, describing his statement as a unifying message that has renewed hope for collaboration within the zone.

Hon. Idris Ahmad Damagani, who hosted the gathering, said the meeting marked the beginning of a broader dialogue on Nasarawa West’s political direction. He noted that Senator Adamu had once again shown leadership by putting the interest of the zone above personal or political sentiments.

The Keffi meeting underscored the growing resolve among Nasarawa West leaders to remain united and ensure that the zone produces the next governor come 2027. Senator Adamu’s open-minded support seen as a major boost to that aspiration.
