Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu,  representing  Nasarawa West Senatorial District, had paid a strategic visit to the Nasarawa State House of Assembly where he held an interactive session with lawmakers on the future of the state.

During the visit, Senator Wadada took time to brief members of the Assembly on the HEARTS Agenda — his developmental blueprint aimed at fostering progress, inclusion, and sustainable growth across Nasarawa State. The agenda, which emphasizes human capital development, economic expansion, accountability, rural transformation, technological advancement, and security, formed the core of his engagement with the legislators.

In a moment that added weight to the visit, the senator formally announced his intention to contest the governorship of Nasarawa State formally to the members of the state Assembly. He explained that it was important to first share this ambition with his colleagues in the legislature, describing them as partners in governance whose perspectives and support are crucial for the state’s advancement.

“As lawmakers, your insight and collaboration are essential to driving the collective growth and development our people deserve,” he told the Assembly members, stressing that leadership must be built on consultation, partnership, and mutual respect.

Senator Wadada also expressed gratitude for the warm welcome he received, acknowledging the Assembly’s openness to dialogue and their commitment to the state’s progress. He reaffirmed his dedication to fostering stronger ties between the National Assembly and the State Assembly, noting that harmonious legislative cooperation is vital to delivering meaningful development to the people of Nasarawa.
