The Nasarawa State House of Assembly Committee on Education, has commended the Executive Secretary of the State Scholarship Board, Hajiya Sa’adatu Yahaya for returning about N125m to government coffers after disbursing scholarship to eligible students of the State.

The commendation was contained in a statement issued and signed by Rt. Hon. Abel Yakubu Bala the Chairman of the Committee and made available to newsmen today in Lafia.

He said the committee appreciated her for her uncommon transparency and love for the state by returning to government N125million to the coffee of the state government.

” The Committee on Education, Science and Technology with outmost joy heartily commend you over the uncommon transparency and love for the state.

” And humanity you display lately by returning to government offers about N125million after disbursing scholarship to eligible students of the state.

” Virtues as this is rare and people like you are expected to be entrusted with public trust .

” That gesture has gone down in history and you will always be remembered for good” the statement said.

The Deputy Majority Leader of the House saluted her dedication and service to the state.

“On behalf of the Rt. Hon. Speaker, Principal Officers and especially Hon. Honourable members of this committee.

” I salute your dedication and service to the state. Be assured that we shall stand by you at all times” the statement added.
