Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu has met with Nasarawa State indigenes working in the National Assembly, Abuja, in an interactive session held at the Public Accounts Committee hearing room in the White House complex. The gathering brought together cleaners, office assistants, and other auxiliary staff, marking what attendees described as the first meeting of its kind in the federal legislature.
The engagement underscored Senator Wadada’s commitment to human capital development and his desire to inspire hard work, integrity, and steadfastness among younger generations from the state. Addressing the workers, he urged them to remain exemplary ambassadors of Nasarawa State wherever they serve.
Senator Wadada also used the occasion to formally share his aspiration to contest for the governorship of Nasarawa State in 2027. He assured the group that his HEARTS Agenda would guide a purposeful, people-centered, and result-driven administration, stressing that he has no intention of “governing blindly.”
The staff members warmly welcomed the lawmaker, expressing appreciation for the recognition and describing the meeting as unprecedented. They offered prayers for divine guidance toward the success of his 2027 ambition and pledged their wholehearted support.
A key highlight of the event was Senator Wadada’s donation of a brand-new Sharon bus to enhance the mobility of the Nasarawa indigenes working in the National Assembly.
