Governor Sule’s Media Aide Set to Unveil New Book, “Shadows Within”

Preparations are in top gear for the public presentation of “Shadows Within”, a new book authored by Alhaji Ali Abare, the Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Governor of Nasarawa State. The high-profile event is scheduled to hold on Friday, 28th November 2025, at the Conference Hall of Luxury Hotel, Lafia.

According to the invitation released by the Office of the Senior Special Assistant on Media, the occasion will attract an array of distinguished personalities from government, academia, traditional institutions, and the private sector.

Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, will serve as the Special Guest of Honour, while former governor, Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, will grace the event as Guest of Honour.

The book will be reviewed by Professor John Adeiyongo of the Department of English and Linguistics, University of Jos, with Professor Suleiman Ismaila Nchi of the Nasarawa State University, Keffi, designated as the Book Presenter.

A keynote address will be delivered by Professor A.A. Kana (SAN), the APC National Deputy Secretary. The Royal Father of the Day is the Emir of Lafia, HRH Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad I, while the event’s Distinguished Chairman is Ambassador Musa Ilu Mohammed.

Former APC National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, is billed to attend as Father of the Day, and the Mother of the Day is the Hon. Minister of Women Affairs, Imaan Suleiman Ibrahim.

The event will also feature a strong list of co-launchers, including academics, political leaders and key government officials such as Prof. M. S. Haruna, Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, Rt. Hon. Speaker Danladi Jatau, Alh. Ahmed Yakubu Mohammed, Dr. Faisal Shuaib, IGP Mohammed Adamu (rtd), Alhaji Danladi Halilu Envulanza, Hon. Safiyanu Isa, and Architect Shehu Tukur.

The Chief Launcher is Rt. Hon. Dr. Ahmed Musa Mohammed, Accountant General of Nasarawa State, while the Chief Host is the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Shuaibu Labaran Magaji (SAN). The author, Hon. Ali Abare, will serve as Host.

The ceremony is expected to begin promptly at 2:30 p.m.

With the calibre of guests confirmed to attend, the book presentation promises to be one of the most notable intellectual gatherings in the state this year, highlighting the intersection of literature, governance, and public discourse.
