Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu has joined thousands of mourners across Nigeria in expressing deep grief over the passing of Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi (RTA), one of the country’s most respected Islamic scholars and a leading figure of the Tijjaniyya movement.
In a heartfelt condolence message, Senator Wadada described the late Sheikh as “a spiritual pillar, a moral guide, and a symbol of humility whose teachings touched generations across the country.” He praised Sheikh Dahiru’s lifelong commitment to the service of Allah (SWT), the dissemination of Islamic knowledge, and his unwavering advocacy for peace and unity among Muslims.
The Senator prayed for Allah’s forgiveness upon the revered scholar, asking that his good deeds be accepted and rewarded with the highest rank in Jannatul Firdaus. He also extended sympathy to the global Tijjaniyya community, the Government and Emirate of Bauchi State, and the entire Muslim Ummah, urging them to draw strength from the scholar’s enduring legacy.
“Nigeria has lost an extraordinary soul, but his lessons and light will continue to guide us,” Senator Wadada said.
He concluded by praying for Allah to grant the late Sheikh eternal rest and to comfort all who are grieving his loss.
