The Northern Governors’ Forum on Monday convened a crucial meeting at the Kaduna State Governor’s House, with H.E. Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule of Nasarawa State among the governors in attendance.
The high-level gathering, which brings together governors from across the northern region, is focused primarily on the escalating security challenges affecting many northern states. According to information available, security concerns, ranging from banditry and kidnapping to communal conflicts, top the agenda of the closed-door session.
The governors are expected to deliberate on coordinated strategies to strengthen regional security architecture, enhance collaboration among security agencies, and address root causes fueling insecurity in the region.
