
Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu has extended heartfelt condolences to the family of former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar (rtd.), following the death of his sister, Hajiya Talatu Abubakar.
In a statement issued on Monday, Sen. Wadada described the passing of Hajiya Talatu as a profound loss to her family and the wider community, noting that she was widely respected for her dignity, compassion, and commitment to serving others.
“Hajiya Talatu’s life embodied the values of humility, service, and faith, qualities that will remain a guiding light to many,” he said, praising the late matriarch for the remarkable legacy she leaves behind.
The Senator expressed solidarity with General Abdulsalami and the entire Abubakar family during what he called a deeply painful period, assuring them of his prayers, sympathy, and unwavering support.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive Hajiya Talatu’s shortcomings, grant her eternal rest, and give the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
Hajiya Talatu Abubakar is remembered as a woman whose life touched many through her devotion to family, faith, and community. According to Sen. Wadada, her memory will continue to inspire all who were privileged to know her.
