Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu has congratulated former Chief of Army Staff and elder statesman, General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma (Rtd.), on the occasion of his 88th birthday, describing him as a towering figure in Nigeria’s history whose legacy continues to inspire.
In a statement issued on Tuesday in Lafia, the lawmaker hailed Gen. Danjuma as “a living legend whose life embodies courage, patriotism, and exemplary leadership,” noting that his impact on Nigeria spans decades of military, humanitarian, and nation-building engagements.
Wadada praised the retired general for what he termed unmatched contributions to Nigeria’s unity and progress, stating that Danjuma’s dedication to national stability has left an indelible mark on the country’s development trajectory.
“General T.Y. Danjuma is a national treasure. His commitment to Nigeria’s unity, progress, and stability continues to inspire generations. As he turns 88, we celebrate a man whose legacy will forever remain engraved in the nation’s conscience,” the senator said.
He offered prayers for God’s continued grace, good health, and strength for Danjuma, adding that the elder statesman’s voice and wisdom remain invaluable to the nation.
