Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Dr. Danladi Jatau, has distributed over 1000 bags of rice and cash to over 600 people of Kokona LGA to enable them celebrate Christmas with joy.

The Speaker made the distribution today to the people of 11 electoral wards of Kokona LGA. in his residence in Garaku.

He said that the distribution was part of his continued commitment to put smile on the faces of the people of his constituency and the entire Kokona LG during and after Christmas celebration.

According to him, I have distributed 1000 bags of rice N20,000 each to so many people as you can see them and in all, I spent about, N30 million.

” You are all aware that, I have been doing this every year and this year cannot not be exceptional.

” Today, This distribution is to enable you them celebrate Christmas with joy and to improve on the standard of living of the people of Kokona local government area.

” By God’s grace, I will continue to initiate policies and programmes that will change on their lives positively” he said.

Speaker Jatau appreciated the people of his constituency and Kokona LG for their continued prayers to him and Hon. Daniel Oga Ogazi, member representing Kokona East constituency at the state legislature.

” Me and my younger brother Hon. Daniel Ogazi are working together, we have good working relationship and we don’t have any problem or issues with ourselves.

” I want to urge those carrying gossip and rumor to desist, instead they should preach peace and unity among us, because we are one, as power comes from God,” he said.

Dr. Jatau disclosed that APC would hold its congresses in the state by February, 2026 through consensus.

” There will no election into party offices but people will emerge through consensus into various offices from wards, Local Government and state levels.

” If you spent eight years on a particular position, you are not eligible for the same position again but you can be elected into different position of the party,” he said.

Jatau said that the rotation of political positions in Kokona LGA has helped in promoting unity, peace, progress and development of the area.

He attributed his political success to God and the people while appreciating those, who are calling on him to contest for Keffi/ Karu/Kokona Federal constituency seat come 2027.

” By next year, 2026, I will make my position known on the House of Representatives seat of Keffi/Karu/Kokona,” he said.

He called for unity and peace among members of the local government for the overall development of the area.

The Speaker called on the people of the area to join APC by availing themselves of the e- registration of the party adding that APC would win landslide in 2027 and Gov. Sule will handover to another APC Governor.

Jatau called on the people of his constituency and the state at large to continue to pray and support Gov Abdullahi Sule to succeed.

” His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi Sule is doing well. He is performing well, let’s all continue to pray and support him to succeed.

” And by God’s grace, he will hand over to APC Governor in 2027 because of his performance,” he said.

Besides, Jatau has recieved 106 defectors from SDP, PDP among other political parties to APC in the area.

He assured them of equal rights and privileges in the party.

On his Part, Mr Terry Bados, the APC Chairman of Kokona LGA, appreciated Dr. Jatau for the gesture and prayed God to bless him abundantly.

He urged the people of the area to wait for Gov. Sule’s directive on whom to support ahead of 2027 elections.

He urged all those, who want to register as APC members to do through e-registration so to enable them to vote and be voted for during elections.

It would be reported that the gesture cut across all the 11 electoral wards of Kokona LG including different groups, religious bodies and widows among others.
