As Governor Abdullahi Sule on Friday laid the foundation stone for the proposed University of Public Relations and Leadership in Gudi, Nasarawa State, Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu has commended the governor for what he described as a landmark achievement.

Senator Wadada said the establishment of the university would position Nasarawa State prominently on the global map of governance, strategic communication, innovation, and leadership development.

In a statement issued in Lafia, the senator—who is a ranking lawmaker and a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (FNIPR), the highest professional status in public relations practice in Nigeria—described Governor Sule as a leader whose legacy will endure in the state. He noted that siting the university in Nasarawa further aligns the state with global standards in communication and leadership training.

He applauded the governor for what he called a bold and visionary intervention, stressing that the creation of a specialised university dedicated to public relations and leadership demonstrates a deep understanding of the critical role strategic communication plays in modern governance, national cohesion, and public trust.
