Women in Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area of Nasarawa State were on Saturday treated to a major empowerment gesture as a Nasarawa Eggon-based businessman, Mohammed Ahmed, distributed customised wrappers bearing the inscription of Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu.

The distribution, valued at over ₦ 500,000 , was carried out on behalf of Senator Wadada as part of efforts to appreciate and support women at the grassroots level. The colourful wrappers, specially designed for the occasion, attracted large gatherings of women from across the area, many of whom expressed gratitude for the timely intervention.
Speaking during the event, Alhaji Abdullahi Rilwanu and Alhaji Abubakar Tijjani, who represented the senator, conveyed Senator Wadada’s goodwill to the beneficiaries. They commended Mohammed Ahmed for financing and coordinating the initiative, describing it as a clear demonstration of commitment to community development and women’s welfare.
The representatives also thanked the women for their continued support and loyalty, assuring them that the senator remains dedicated to initiatives that will improve their livelihoods and overall well-being. They emphasized that such gestures are part of broader efforts to strengthen the bond between leadership and the people.
In their remarks, Alh. Rilwanu and Alh. Tijjani assured Mohammed Ahmed that his generosity and support for the senator’s vision would not go unrecognized, noting that contributions toward unity and empowerment always yield lasting rewards.
The event was marked by songs, prayers, and expressions of appreciation from beneficiaries, highlighting the significance of the gesture in easing economic pressures and reinforcing community solidarity in Nasarawa Eggon.
The occasion was also attended by officials of Wadada like Minds.
