The Nyankpa Chiefdom was aglow with pride and celebration as His Royal Highness, Barrister Joel Samuel Aninge, PhD, MFR, the Odyong Nyankpa of Nyankpa Chiefdom, marked 25 years on the throne—an epoch-defining Royal Silver Jubilee that reflects a reign of purpose, peace, and progressive leadership.
Joining the Nyankpa Nation and a host of well-wishers in commemorating the milestone,
Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu described the monarch as an exceptional royal father whose quarter-century reign has been anchored on wisdom, humility, and an unwavering commitment to unity and development.
According to the Senator, the 25-year reign of HRH Barr. Aninge has significantly strengthened traditional institutions while fostering harmony among diverse communities within the chiefdom. He noted that the monarch’s leadership has not only preserved the rich cultural heritage of the Nyankpa people but has also adapted tradition to meet the demands of modern governance.
Sen. Wadada particularly praised the monarch’s rare blend of intellectual depth and professional excellence, describing him as a distinguished legal luminary whose background in law has brought justice, fairness, and administrative clarity to the traditional stool.
He emphasized that the reign of the Odyong Nyankpa stands as a shining example of how traditional authority and contemporary leadership principles can work hand in hand for societal advancement.
“The Silver Jubilee is not just a celebration of years,” the Senator remarked, “but a celebration of impact—of a reign that has prioritized peace, dialogue, and the collective progress of the people.”
As part of his goodwill message, Sen. Wadada offered prayers for continued good health, long life, and divine wisdom for the revered monarch.
He also called on the sons and daughters of Nyankpa Chiefdom to uphold and sustain the enduring legacy of peace, unity, and development cultivated under the leadership of HRH Barr. Joel S. Aninge.
