Governor of Nasarawa State, His Excellency Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, has signed into law the 2026 Fiscal Appropriation Bill, approving a total budget size of ₦545,182,100,910.77 for the state.
The budget, which was reviewed and passed by the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, is tagged the “Budget of Strategic Consolidation,” signaling the administration’s focus on strengthening gains recorded in previous fiscal years while deepening institutional and economic reforms.
The signing marks the formal commencement of the 2026 fiscal year framework and reflects continued collaboration between the executive and legislative arms of government in shaping the state’s development agenda. Lawmakers had scrutinized the proposal before approving it, ensuring alignment with the state’s priorities and revenue projections.
The 2026 budget is expected to consolidate ongoing projects, enhance service delivery, and sustain investments across critical sectors of the state’s economy. With the assent now granted, relevant ministries, departments, and agencies are set to begin implementation in line with the approved provisions.
