On 26th December 2025, the people of Nasarawa State, alongside well-wishers across Nigeria and beyond, proudly celebrate the 66th birthday of a distinguished leader and statesman, His Excellency, Engineer Abdullahi Alhaji Sule, the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State.

Fondly called Governor A. A. Sule, he continues to distinguish himself as a visionary, pragmatic and people-centred leader whose administration is transforming the social, economic and institutional landscape of Nasarawa State. His leadership is marked by discipline, strategic thinking and an unwavering commitment to sustainable development, as he steadily implements policies and programmes designed to improve the welfare and prosperity of the people.

Under Governor Sule’s leadership, Nasarawa State is witnessing remarkable progress in infrastructure development. His administration prioritizes the construction and rehabilitation of critical road networks, bridges and public facilities, enhancing connectivity across urban and rural communities. These interventions are opening up economic corridors, facilitating trade and improving access to essential services.

In the area of industrialization and investment, Governor Sule has positioned Nasarawa State as a rising destination for investors. Through deliberate policies that encourage private sector participation, the development of industrial hubs and the effective harnessing of solid mineral resources, his administration is laying a strong foundation for economic diversification, job creation and sustainable revenue generation.

Agriculture remains a central pillar of his development agenda. Governor Sule continues to support farmers through improved access to inputs, extension services and modern farming techniques. Notably, his administration has established state-owned agricultural farms as demonstration and production centres, aimed at boosting large-scale food production, promoting best farming practices and encouraging youth participation in agribusiness. By strengthening agricultural value chains and promoting agribusiness, his government is enhancing food security, boosting rural incomes and empowering communities across Nasarawa State.

Driven by a firm belief that education is the foundation of sustainable development, Governor Abdullahi Alhaji Sule has placed human capital development at the centre of his governance agenda. This commitment was further demonstrated yesterday, as part of activities marking his 66th birthday, with the historic foundation-laying of the University of Public Relations and Leadership in Gudi, Nasarawa State – a forward-looking initiative that positions the state as a pioneer in specialized tertiary education.

Beyond this milestone, his administration continues to invest purposefully in education through the construction and rehabilitation of schools, the provision of learning materials and the recruitment and welfare of teachers, while strengthening tertiary institutions, promoting technical and vocational education and expanding opportunities for skills acquisition to drive long-term societal progress.

Equally commendable is Governor Abdullahi Alhaji Sule’s commitment to strengthening the civil service. This is exemplified by the construction of a befitting State Secretariat complex that houses the Office of the Head of Service, the Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State and key ministries, providing a modern and efficient working environment for public servants. In line with global best practices and the evolving new normal, the facility is equipped with electric vehicle charging station, reflecting his administration’s forward-thinking approach to sustainability and innovation.

By emphasizing professionalism, efficiency and accountability, Governor Sule continues to reform public institutions and ensure that governance in Nasarawa State is driven by competence, transparency and dedicated service to the people.

Beyond policies and projects, Governor Sule is widely admired for his maturity, humility and inclusive approach to leadership. He consistently demonstrates respect for divergent views and engages constructively with stakeholders, including those who hold opposing opinions. His calm disposition and openness to dialogue have fostered political stability, unity and mutual respect across the state.
