The Immediate Past Speaker of Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi has again visited the family of his former Deputy Speaker in the Fifth Assembly and Senator Representing Nasarawa North late Godiya Akwashiki and condoled with the wife, children and other family members.

Balarabe Abdullahi visited the deceased Senator’s family in his residence in Lafia today Friday.

while condoling with Sen. Godiya Akwashiki’s family Balarabe Abdullahi encouraged them to take solace in God who gives and takes life at his own appointed time.

The former Speaker said that the death of Sen. Godiya Akwashiki was painful considering his love for his people, passion for development and his contributions to the growth of Nasarawa North, the State and the Country at large.

“Please, let all of us take hearts with the will of God Almighty, He knows better. Sen. Godiya Akwashiki death was painful and a big blow to us in Nasarawa State and Nigeria at large.

“We all know that death is inevitable. God gives life and takes at will, We pray God to give him eternal peace and comfort the family” He said.

“May God Almighty has mercy upon us all, may the souls of all departed have eternal peace, Sen. Godiya has done his best towards touching on the lives of people positively, he was a great patriot, a philanthropy and people representative”

“My prayers is for God to forgive his shortcomings and grant him eternal rest” Balarabe added.

The former Speaker urged the family, Eggon Nation, the State and Nigerians to bear the irreparable lost stressing that the State has lost a patriotic citizen and a performing Senator.

It was reported that this was the second time the former Speaker is visiting the residence of late Sen. Godiya Akwashiki to identify and encourage the family.

Akwashiki who was a serving Senator representing Nasarawa North before his demise has served as the Deputy Speaker to Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi in the Fifth Nasarawa State House of Assembly.
