A Lafia-based pressure group, Friends Forever, has reaffirmed its support for Senator Wadada’s governorship ambition ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The group made its position known during its meeting in Lafia, where its chairman, Alhaji Garba Rosha Mohammed, pledged that the association would work tirelessly to ensure the success of Senator Wadada, particularly within Lafia and its environs.
Alhaji Mohammed who is a retired permanent secretary in the Nasarawa state civil service described Senator Wadada as a leader with the capacity and vision to move Nasarawa State forward, adding that Friends Forever remains committed to mobilising grassroots support for his aspiration. He noted that the group would engage in APC e- registration, voter sensitizations and peaceful political advocacy to promote the senator’s candidacy.
“Friends Forever is fully prepared to support Senator Wadada’s governorship bid in 2027. We will work across Lafia to ensure his message and leadership qualities reach the people,” Mohammed said.
He further explained that members of the group are bona fide indigenes of Lafia Municipal, drawn from four wards: Chiroma, Gayam, Makama, and Zanwa. According to him, this broad representation positions the group to effectively galvanise support at the grassroots level.
Members of the group who spoke at the event expressed confidence in Senator Wadada’s leadership credentials and urged residents of Lafia to support what they described as a collective quest for good governance and development in Nasarawa State.
Friends Forever reiterated its commitment to peaceful political participation and pledged to continue engaging stakeholders as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.
The association commended Senator Wadada for the support he rendered to the family of Mohammed Yusuf Al-Barney, an active member of the association, who passed away two weeks ago after collapsing and dying a few hours later.
