Governor Abdullahi Sule Receives Former Governor Al-Makura at Government House

The Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, on Thursday received a former Governor of the state and current Board Chairman of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, at his office.
The courtesy visit, which took place at the Government House in Lafia, underscored the continued engagement between the state government and key stakeholders in Nasarawa state.
Governor Sule warmly welcomed Senator Al-Makura, commending his contributions to the development of Nasarawa State during his tenure as governor and his ongoing service at the national level through UBEC. The governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to strengthening consultation with critical stakeholders across the zones to ensure inclusiness.
In his remarks, Senator Al-Makura expressed appreciation to the governor for the warm reception and lauded the current administration’s efforts in promoting peace, infrastructure development, and human capital development in Nasarawa State. He emphasized the importance of  collaboration on all aspects of governance.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for both leaders to exchange views on issues of mutual interest, including sustainable development in the state.
The visit further highlighted the spirit of unity and continuity in leadership aimed at advancing the progress of Nasarawa State.

Before meeting with Al-Makura, Governor Sule also today, received former Governor Abdullahi Adamu at the Government House, where issues of mutual interest were discussed.
