Member representing Keffi West Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly Hon. Ibrahim Aliyu Nana has distributed 56 motor cycles, 20 sewing machines, 27 million naira cash to constituents.
The Lawmaker also commenced payment of fully funded scholarship for over 20 students at Nasarawa State University Keffi and College of Health Science and Technology Keffi respectively.
The gesture that stakeholders and beneficiaries appreciated and solicited for more support for him from the people beyond 2027.
It was reported that the program tagged 2026 Empowerment Initiative, A Legacy of Human Capital Development took place at Emir’s palace Keffi, today Saturday and was in fulfillment of campaign promises of member representing Keffi West constituency and Deputy Chief Whip, Hon. Ibrahim Aliyu Nana.
The event was attended by critical stakeholders from Keffi Local Government, political appointees, party supporters among other residents.
Governor Abdullahi Sule, represented by the State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Dr. Ibrahim Tanko praised the lawmaker for initiating a program aimed at supporting the people in his constituency, noting that this is the kind of gesture needed to empower the people economically.
Governor Abdullahi Sule enjoined the people to continue to live in peace, unity, mutual understanding, support government policies and programs for the overall development of the area and the state.
He urged All Progressive Congress (APC) party members to fully participate in the ongoing party e-registration, saying that it is the only way the party can claim victory at all levels in the forthcoming election in 2027.
While appreciating his constituents for standing by him at the last election that gave him victory to serve as Lawmaker, Hon. Ibrahim Aliyu Nana said the distribution of motorcycles, sewing machines, and the cash is part of his desire to give back to the society what belong to them.
The Lawmaker said, from 2024 to 25 he provided a fully funded scholarship to 53 students studying in the University and it is first of its kind in the history of House of Assembly in the area.
According to him, the scholarship covered from first year of admission to graduation.
He added that, his focus is on education, health, empowerment, electricity, infrastructures and road among others.
This he said has direct bearings on the lives of the people and promised to do more in the remaining one and half years.
Earlier, the Executive Chairman Keffi Local Government, Hon. Dr. Idris Ahmad Damagani, APC National Deputy Secretary, Abdulareem Kana, APC Chairman, Keffi Local Government, Alhaji Muhammad Bello Yakubu, Dangaladiman Keffi, Abubakar Gada, and Gov. Abdullahi Sule Western Zone Coordinator, Alh. Yusuf Attajiri commended the effort of the Lawmaker for touching the lives of his people positively and encouraged him to sustain the tempo.
They called on the people of the constituency to support the Lawmaker beyond 2027.
The items were distributed among party leaders, campaign team, support groups, elders, women, youths among others from the five electoral wards of Iya 1, Iya 11, Tudun Kofa, Hangaren Tudu and Yara respectively.
Some of the beneficiaries, Maryam Adamu, Zuwaira Lawal, Hauwa Adamu, Usman Saidu appreciated the Lawmaker for the gesture and promised to used it judiciously.
