The Kilema Youths Development Association, Lafia (KIYDAL), has honoured Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu, who represents Nasarawa West Senatorial District, with an Award of Excellence in recognition of his contributions to youth empowerment and community development.
The award was presented by the leadership of the association, which cited Senator Wadada’s sustained support for youth-driven initiatives, capacity-building programmes, and grassroots development efforts across Nasarawa West and other parts of the state. According to KIYDAL, the recognition reflects years of purposeful engagement, advocacy, and practical interventions aimed at improving the socio-economic well-being of young people.
The association noted that the award was also intended to encourage public office holders to remain committed to people-oriented leadership, especially at a time when youths are seeking greater inclusion, mentorship, and genuine representation in governance.
Speaking on behalf of the senator, Alhaji Abdullahi Rilwanu expressed appreciation to the Kilema Youths Development Association for the honour, describing it as a motivation to do more. He reaffirmed Senator Wadada’s commitment to policies and initiatives that prioritise youth empowerment, unity, and sustainable development.
He stressed that the future of Nasarawa State and Nigeria largely depends on the strength, preparedness, and active participation of young people in nation-building.
The award adds to a growing list of recognitions received by Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu from community-based organisations and civil society groups, further underscoring his profile as a grassroots-oriented leader and a prominent political figure in Nasarawa State.
