Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu has joined family members, friends, and well-wishers in mourning the death of Mama Anna Shaku Kigbu, the mother of Hon. Joseph Haruna Kigbu, former Member of the House of Representatives for Lafia/Obi Federal Constituency and current Federal Commissioner of the National Population Commission (NPC).
Mama Anna Shaku Kigbu passed away at the remarkable age of 102, bringing to a close a life widely described as rich in faith, resilience, and selfless service to family and community.
In a heartfelt condolence message, Sen. Wadada described the late matriarch as a woman of uncommon virtue whose life reflected humility, discipline, and strong moral values. According to the Senator, Mama Kigbu’s longevity stood as a testament to a life well lived and devoted to nurturing generations anchored on integrity and service.
“Mama Anna Shaku Kigbu was a pillar, not only to her immediate family but to all who encountered her wisdom and kindness,” Sen. Wadada said. “Her long life was a blessing and a clear reflection of her commitment to humanity.”
The Senator extended his deepest sympathies to Hon. Joseph Haruna Kigbu and the entire Kigbu family, noting that the pain of losing a mother is profound and enduring, regardless of age or circumstance.
