Within this expanding field, Musa Umar Yashi has emerged as a compelling figure not merely for his visibility but for the distinctive qualities that set him apart from many of his potential competitors.

Unlike many politicians whose careers are mainly built around elections and party politics, Musa Umar Yashi has spent much of his public service outside the usual political space. He is currently the Executive Director of Humanitarian Affairs at the North-East Development Commission (NEDC). In this role, he is directly involved in helping communities affected by insurgency, displacement and poverty in the North-East.

While others were shying away from identifying with the Party, he was in the forefront supporting and financing party activities at the time of needs especially during the last Presidential elections that brought President Bola Tinubu to power.
He sponsored campaign tours, production of bill boards, posters and several media outreach to make APC acceptable in a PDP controlled State.
