Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of two prominent sons of the Lafia Emirate—Ex- Deputy Inspector General of Police, DIG Abdulkadir Musa Bage, the Zanna Duoma of Lafia and Barrister Abdullahi Sani Ahmed, former Chief Registrar of the High Court of Nasarawa State.
In a condolence message, Senator Wadada described their deaths as a painful and irreparable loss to Lafia, Nasarawa State, and the nation at large. He noted that Nigeria has lost two distinguished personalities whose lives were marked by service, integrity, honour, and sacrifice.
According to the Senator, Barrister Abdullahi Sani Ahmed was a pillar of the judiciary who served with quiet strength and unwavering commitment to fairness and the rule of law. He said the late Chief Registrar’s humility, discipline, and selfless dedication to duty played a significant role in shaping the administration of justice in Nasarawa State and would remain a lasting legacy.
Senator Wadada also paid glowing tribute to the late DIG Abdulkadir Musa Bage, describing him as a gallant police officer and a rare leader who served Nigeria with courage and distinction. He noted that the former DIG rose through the ranks of the Nigeria Police Force through hard work and dedication, earning respect across the country.
He added that as the Zanna Duoma of Lafia, DIG Bage continued to serve his people with wisdom, promoting peace, unity, and harmony within the Lafia Emirate.
The Senator extended his heartfelt condolences to the Emir of Lafia, Hon. Justice Dr. Sidi Bage Mohammed I, JSC (Rtd), CFR, the Lafia Traditional Council, the families of the deceased, and the entire people of Lafia.
He prayed that Almighty Allah (SWT), in His infinite mercy, forgives their shortcomings, grants them Aljannatul Firdaus, and gives their families and loved ones the strength and patience to bear the great loss.
