All is set for the groundbreaking ceremony for the grading of the 18-kilometre Angwan Takwa Junction–Moroa Town Road in Kokona Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, scheduled to hold on Monday, 9th February 2026.
The ceremony will take place at Angwan Takwa Primary School, after the Toll Gate, Garaku, Kokona LGA, by 1:00pm.
The project is being facilitated by the Distinguished Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu, FNIPR, FCTI, Sarkin Yakin Keffi and Magajin Dangin Lafia, the event will be under the Distinguished Chairmanship of Senator Dr. Abdullahi Adamu, CON, the Turakin Keffi, while the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, His Excellency Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, will attend as Special Guest of Honour.
The Honourable Commissioner for Education, Nasarawa State, Mr. John D. W. Mamman, will serve as the Host, while the Executive Chairman of Kokona Local Government Area, Hon. Bitrus Mek Agbawu, will act as the Chief Host.
The Royal Father of the Day is His Royal Highness Lawrence Sylvester Ayih, JP, the Abaga Toni of Toni Chiefdom.
Other dignitaries expected at the event include the Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, JP, and Hon. Daniel Oga Ogazi, Member representing Kokona East Constituency.
Also listed as Guests of Honour are the Commissioner for Works, Nasarawa State, Hon. Muazu Gosho; Engr. Muhammed Sani Sidi, Managing Director of the Nasarawa Bureau for Rural Development; Hon. Aliyu Tijani, Federal Commissioner of the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI); and Hon. Dr. Aliyu Bello, State Chairman of the APC.
Others include Hon. Isaiah Agah, APC Zonal Chairman, Western Zone; chairmen of Karu, Keffi, Toto, and other local government areas in the zone; APC ward and local government executives from Kokona and Keffi West; as well as notable technocrats, professionals, and party leaders across the state.
The road project is expected to significantly improve transportation, boost rural economic activities, and enhance access to communities within Kokona LGA, reaffirming the commitment of Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu and the APC-led administration to grassroots development in Nasarawa State.
