Lafia Monarch Confers Traditional Title on Engr. Aliyu Dallah

The Emir of Lafia Bare Bari, His Royal Highness, Hon. Justice Dr. Sidi Bage Muhammad I, CFR (JSC, Rtd.), who also serves as the Chairman of the Nasarawa State Council of Traditional Rulers, has conferred a prestigious traditional title on Engineer Aliyu Ibrahim Dallah.
The conferment ceremony took place on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the palace of the Emir in Lafia, Nasarawa State. Engr. Aliyu Ibrahim Dallah was turbaned as the Barde Shettima of Lafia Bare Bari, a title of honour and responsibility within the emirate.
The colorful event attracted several dignitaries from across the country, including the Honourable Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as well as traditional rulers, government officials, and other prominent personalities.
Speaking during the ceremony, the Emir prayed for wisdom, guidance, and success for the newly appointed title holder as he discharges his duties in service to the emirate and society at large.
The occasion further reaffirmed the rich cultural heritage of the Lafia Emirate and the continued relevance of traditional institutions in promoting unity, leadership, and development.
