Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, on Wednesday received a high-powered delegation of Angolan Government officials at the Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja, as part of ongoing efforts to deepen bilateral cooperation between Nasarawa State and Angola’s Bengo Region.
The Angolan delegation was led by Dr. Dionisio Manuel Da Fonseca, Executive Minister of State and Head of Civil House, Angola. He was accompanied by the Angolan Ambassador to Nigeria, Dr. Jose Bomokina Zau.
The meeting focused on consolidating the gains of previous engagements between both parties, with particular emphasis on the existing “Twinning Agreement” between Nasarawa State and the Bengo Region of Angola. The agreement is aimed at fostering strategic collaboration in key sectors, including trade, investment, agriculture, and economic development.
Discussions highlighted the commitment of both governments to strengthen economic ties and promote mutually beneficial partnerships that will drive growth and development in their respective regions.
Governor Sule expressed optimism about the prospects of the partnership, reaffirming Nasarawa State’s readiness to leverage the twinning arrangement to attract investments and enhance knowledge exchange.
The visit underscores the growing relationship between Nasarawa State and Angola, as both sides continue to explore opportunities for deeper cooperation and shared prosperity.
