Fulani Community in Nasarawa State Honours Senator Wadada, Endorses Tinubu For Second Term

The Fulani community in Nasarawa State turned out in large numbers in a colourful display of unity and solidarity to honour Senator Aliyu Wadada, celebrating what they described as his unwavering commitment to inclusive representation and grassroots development.
The event, marked by cultural displays, traditional music, and speeches by community leaders, also transformed into a heroic reception and endorsement rally for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and in Governor Abdullahi Sule.
A Celebration of  Wadada’s Leadership by the community elders, youth groups, and women associations who gathered in their traditional attire, symbolizing the rich cultural heritage of the Fulani people. Speakers at the event praised Senator Wadada for what they called “responsive leadership” and his role in advocating policies that support pastoral communities, education, and economic empowerment across the state.
The honour, according to the organizers, was a reflection of the senator’s continued engagement with his constituents and his support for peace, unity, and development in Nasarawa State.
In his acceptance remarks, Senator Wadada expressed deep appreciation to the Fulani community for the recognition. However, in a gesture that drew loud applause from the crowd, he dedicated the honour to President Tinubu and Governor Sule.
He described President Tinubu’s administration as one focused on reform and national renewal, urging continued support for federal initiatives aimed at economic stability and security. Similarly, he commended Governor Sule’s developmental strides in infrastructure, agriculture, and investment promotion within Nasarawa State.
The event also served as an endorsement rally, with community leaders publicly affirming their support for President Tinubu and Governor Sule. Banners and chants echoed through the venue, reinforcing what observers described as a strategic show of political solidarity ahead of future elections.
Stakeholders noted that such endorsements reflect the Fulani community’s intention to remain actively engaged in shaping the political direction of the state and the nation.
Beyond politics, speakers emphasized peaceful coexistence, mutual respect among ethnic groups, and collaboration for sustainable development. They called on leaders at all levels to continue fostering inclusive governance that addresses the needs of rural dwellers, farmers, herders, and urban residents alike.
The event concluded with prayers and cultural performances and the atmosphere remained festive, underscoring a community united not only in honouring Senator  Wadada but also in declaring its political stance and aspirations for continued development under Tinubu and Sule’s leadership.
