In a display of unity and fellowship during the holy month of Ramadan, Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu today joined Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule at a special Iftar gathering hosted by former Secretary to the State Government and current Ambassador, Mohammed Ubandoma Aliyu.
The event, held in a serene atmosphere reflective of the Ramadan season, brought together political leaders, stakeholders, and respected members of the community. More than a ceremonial breaking of fast, the gathering served as a platform for dialogue, reflection, and renewed commitment to service.
Senator Wadada commended Ambassador Ubandoma Aliyu for sustaining a tradition of inclusiveness and hospitality, noting that such gatherings provide valuable opportunities for leaders to strengthen cooperation and foster unity.
“Ramadan reminds us of our shared humanity and duty to serve,” the senator said, adding that the holy month offers leaders a meaningful chance to reconnect with citizens and reflect on their responsibilities.
Governor Sule on his part, described the Iftar as a powerful moment of togetherness and appreciated the warm reception extended to attendees. He urged citizens to continue praying for peace, unity, and progress in Nasarawa State and across Nigeria, emphasizing that collective prayer and collaboration are vital to advancing the state’s development agenda.

Ambassador Ubandoma Aliyu, as host, brought together a cross-section of political and community figures, underscoring the importance of maintaining open channels of communication among leaders. His initiative highlighted how social and spiritual gatherings can serve as informal yet impactful avenues for strengthening governance relationships.
The evening concluded with prayers for Nasarawa State, its leadership, and the continued prosperity of its people, as participants reflected on the deeper values of Ramadan — unity, compassion, and shared responsibility.
