Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu has reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive development after hosting an interactive session with persons with special needs as part of activities marking the holy month of Ramadan.
The engagement, held under the Human Development component of the senator’s Heart’s Agenda, provided a platform for open dialogue between the lawmaker and members of the community who often face unique social and economic challenges.
Speaking during the session, Wadada described Ramadan as a period that calls for compassion, generosity, and a renewed sense of responsibility toward humanity, particularly vulnerable groups in society. He emphasized that leadership must be rooted in empathy and inclusiveness, ensuring that no segment of the population feels excluded.
The meeting created an atmosphere of encouragement and recognition, reinforcing the importance of giving every member of society a sense of belonging and representation.
In a significant show of support, the senator donated a Sharon vehicle to aid mobility and coordination among the associations. He also presented a cash donation of ₦10 million and distributed 150 bags of rice to assist members during the fasting period.
Leaders of the associations expressed gratitude for what they described as a timely and impactful intervention. They noted that the support would ease their living conditions and strengthen their activities.
Community stakeholders commended the senator for translating his vision into practical assistance, saying the outreach reflects a deliberate effort to foster unity and inclusive growth.
