Sen. Wadada Hosts Nasarawa Assembly Members to Special Interfaith Iftar in Lafia

Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Public Accounts, on Wednesday hosted members of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly to a special interfaith Iftar at Ta’al Conference Hotel in Lafia.
The gathering brought together lawmakers from across the state in an atmosphere of unity and reflection, as Muslims and Christians shared the evening meal during the holy month of Ramadan.
Speaking during the event, Senator Wadada emphasized the importance of religious harmony and collaboration among leaders in fostering peace, stability, and development in Nasarawa State. He noted that the interfaith Iftar was organized to strengthen relationships among political leaders and encourage collective efforts toward the progress of the state.
Members of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly who attended the event commended the senator for the initiative, describing it as a commendable gesture that promotes mutual respect and understanding among people of different faiths.
They also reiterated their commitment to working together, regardless of religious or political differences, in order to deliver effective governance and improve the welfare of citizens across the state.
The event, held at the Ta’al Conference Hotel in Lafia, provided an opportunity for lawmakers to engage informally, share ideas, and reaffirm their dedication to unity and peace in the state.
The interfaith Iftar concluded with prayers for continued peace, prosperity, and development in Nasarawa State and Nigeria at large.
