Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu on Friday evening hosted his longtime friends for an Iftar gathering in Lafia, Nasarawa State, marking a moment of reflection, prayers, and appreciation during the holy month of Ramadan.
The gathering brought together friends whose relationship dates back to the 1970s while in Jos, highlighting decades of unity, loyalty, and shared experiences.
Speaking during the breaking of the fast, Senator Wadada expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for sustaining their friendship over the years and granting them the opportunity to witness another Ramadan together.
He also used the occasion to offer prayers for one of their late friends, Yusuf Muhammad Albany, who was together with them during the last reception organised by friends for Senator Wadada held last three months before his passing.
The senator further prayed for the souls of their departed parents, asking Allah to forgive their shortcomings and reward them abundantly for the values, discipline, and character they instilled in their children.
In their separate remarks, the friends expressed appreciation to the Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule, for the emergence of Aliyu Bello as Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in the state.
They noted that the development reflects inclusive leadership and pledged their continued support and gratitude to the governor for efforts aimed at strengthening unity within the party.
The Iftar concluded with prayers for peace, unity, and continued progress in Nasarawa State and Nigeria as a whole.
