Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu, representing Nasarawa West, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah in Nasarawa State as they celebrate the Eid-el-Fitr, tomorrow Friday, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a goodwill message made available to newsmen in Lafia on Thursday, the senator described the occasion as a moment of deep spiritual significance, emphasizing that it reflects the successful completion of a period devoted to fasting, prayer, sacrifice, and self-discipline.
He noted that Eid-el-Fitr is not only a time for celebration but also an opportunity for reflection on the core values of Islam, including compassion, generosity, unity, and peaceful coexistence. According to him, these values are essential for fostering harmony and development within society.
Senator Wadada urged Muslims across Nasarawa State to sustain the virtues imbibed during Ramadan, particularly acts of kindness, tolerance, and support for one another. He stressed the need for continued commitment to peace and collective progress in the state and the country at large.
“As we celebrate with family, friends, and loved ones, let us remain guided by the teachings of Ramadan and continue to promote peace and mutual understanding in our communities,” he said.
The lawmaker also prayed for Allah’s acceptance of our supplications during Ramadan, seeking forgiveness and blessings for all faithful. He expressed hope that the season would usher in renewed unity, prosperity, and stability for Nasarawa State and Nigeria as a whole.
Eid-el-Fitr is one of the most significant festivals in Islam, celebrated by Muslims worldwide following the sighting of the new moon, which signals the end of Ramadan.
