Dr. Iskilu Saleh Drives Transformation As Hon. Gambo Abdullahi Pays Strategic Visit To Agency.

The Executive Secretary of the Nasarawa State Primary Healthcare Development Agency (NAPHDA), Dr. Iskilu Saleh, on Tuesday received the Special Adviser on Health to Governor Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, Hon. Gambo Abdullahi, during a courtesy visit aimed at strengthening collaboration in the state’s healthcare sector.
The meeting, held at the agency’s headquarters, provided an opportunity for both officials to review ongoing reforms and discuss strategies to further improve primary healthcare delivery across Nasarawa State.
Speaking during the visit, Dr. Saleh highlighted key achievements recorded since his assumption of office, noting that the agency has witnessed significant transformation under his leadership. He explained that his administration has prioritized the revitalization of primary healthcare centres, ensuring that facilities are better equipped and more accessible to communities, particularly in rural areas.
According to him, the agency has intensified efforts in staff training and capacity building, leading to improved service delivery and enhanced patient care. He also pointed to expanded immunization campaigns, maternal and child health interventions, and stronger community engagement initiatives as part of a broader strategy to reduce preventable diseases and improve health outcomes.
Dr. Saleh further emphasized the importance of partnerships and government support, noting that collaboration with the state government and other stakeholders has been instrumental in achieving these milestones.
In his remarks, Hon. Gambo Abdullahi commended the Executive Secretary for the visible progress made within a short period. He reaffirmed the commitment of the administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule to strengthening the primary healthcare system, describing it as a critical pillar in achieving universal health coverage in the state.
The Special Adviser stressed that the government remains focused on policies and investments that will sustain ongoing reforms and ensure that quality healthcare services reach every citizen.
