A delegation of stakeholders from Ningo Bohar Community on Tuesday paid a thank-you visit to the Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi A. Sule, commending his administration’s developmental efforts across Mada communities.
The delegation, led by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Kwanta Yakubu, was received in the audience at the Government House. The visit comes at a time when political conversations are intensifying around the governor’s reported bid for a seat in the Senate.
Speaking during the visit, the Provost of the College of Education, Akwanga, Barau Nuhu Barnabas, outlined the mission of the delegation, describing it as an expression of gratitude for the governor’s impact on the mada land.
According to the stakeholders, the Sule administration has recorded “gigantic achievements” through both completed and ongoing projects in Mada land, particularly in infrastructure and human capital development. They also lauded the governor for appointing indigenes of the area into key government positions, describing the move as inclusive and reflective of his commitment to equitable governance.
The visit is seen by observers as politically significant, as it underscores growing grassroots support for Governor Sule amid speculations about his transition from the state executive to the legislative arm at the national level.
Responding, Governor Sule appreciated the delegation for the visit and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to sustaining development across all parts of Nasarawa State. He emphasized the importance of unity and continued collaboration between government and communities to achieve lasting progress.
Tuesday’s engagement highlights the governor’s continued consolidation of support within key constituencies, a factor analysts say could play a crucial role should he formally declare his intention to contest for a senatorial seat.
