7th Anniversary: Nasarawa Speaker Felicitates Emir of Lafia, Describes Him as Symbol of Peace, Unity.


The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, Ph.D., has congratulated the Emir of Lafia, Justice Sidi Bage Mohammed (Rtd), on the occasion of his seventh anniversary on the throne.
In a goodwill message, the Speaker described the Emir’s seven-year reign as exceptional, impactful, and beneficial not only to Nasarawa State but to the nation at large. He praised the monarch as a role model, a bridge builder, and a symbol of unity, noting his high sense of integrity and commitment to peace and development.
Dr. Jatau commended the Emir—who also serves as Chairman of the Nasarawa State Traditional Council of Chiefs—for his dedication to the welfare of the vulnerable, his efforts in combating child abuse, and his advocacy for improved education, particularly for the girl child.
He called on citizens to continue to support and pray for the royal father, urging collective efforts to sustain and build upon the solid foundation already laid for the benefit of all.
The Speaker prayed for the Emir’s continued good health, wisdom, and long life as he led his people in the years ahead.
