A wave of public sympathy has followed the plight of Musa Ahmad, a resident of Kofar Makama in Lafia, whose battle with cancer recently gained widespread attention on social media.
Disturbing images and videos circulating online showed Ahmad in a critical condition, with a severely swollen neck, prompting urgent calls for financial assistance from his family. According to relatives, the cost of the required surgery was far beyond their means, leaving them dependent on public support.
In response to the situation, Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada stepped in with a donation of two million naira to support Ahmad’s medical treatment. Sources close to the senator disclosed that he was deeply moved by the patient’s condition and acted swiftly to provide assistance.
The donation was delivered in cash to Ahmad and his family by representatives of the senator, who also conveyed his sympathy and prayers for the patient’s speedy recovery.
The gesture has been widely acknowledged as a timely intervention, offering hope to the ailing Ahmad and his family as they continue to seek medical care.
