Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu has reaffirmed his commitment to cultural preservation and community development with a donation of ₦3 million toward the establishment of Ezzen House, a proposed cultural hub for the Eggon people.
The senator made the contribution through a delegation that represented him at the Ezzen Cultural Day 2026, an event organized by the Eggon Cultural and Development Association (ECDA), Ezzen Branch.
According to his representatives, the fund is specifically designated for the development of Ezzen House, a project envisioned as a permanent center for the preservation of Eggon heritage, promotion of traditional values, and strengthening of community ties.
Delivering the senator’s message, the delegation emphasized the importance of investing in cultural infrastructure as a means of sustaining identity and fostering unity.
“Culture is the soul of any community. Establishing Ezzen House is not just about a building; it is about preserving our history, strengthening our unity, and creating a foundation for future generations,” the statement read.
Sen. Wadada also urged members of the community to uphold peace, tolerance, and mutual respect, noting that unity remains a critical pillar for sustainable development.
He further called on stakeholders, particularly the youth, to take active roles in preserving their cultural heritage, stressing that modernization should not come at the expense of tradition.
The donation has been widely praised by attendees and community leaders, who described it as timely and impactful. Many noted that the gesture reflects the senator’s strong connection to grassroots development and his dedication to promoting Eggon cultural values.
Observers say the initiative goes beyond supporting a cultural festival, positioning Ezzen House as a lasting institution that will promote unity, identity, and development within the community for generations to come.
