The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State has dismissed reports suggesting that it has endorsed certain candidates and granted automatic tickets to incumbent members of the National Assembly ahead of future elections.
In a press statement issued on April 8, 2026, the party described the circulating claims as “false, misleading, and mischievous,” stressing that the information did not originate from any recognized organ of the party.
The statement, signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Augustine Ogaba, clarified that no decision has been taken at any level of the party to grant automatic tickets to any individual or group.
“For the avoidance of doubt, no such approval or endorsement has been made,” the statement read, reaffirming the party’s commitment to due process, internal democracy, and established guidelines for selecting candidates for elective positions.
The party further alleged that the spread of the report was a deliberate attempt by mischief-makers to create confusion, sow discord within its ranks, and mislead the public.
The APC urged party members, aspirants, stakeholders, media practitioners, and the general public to disregard the claims and rely only on official communications from authorized party channels.
Reiterating its stance, the party said it remains united and focused on strengthening democratic principles, maintaining cohesion, and ensuring credible processes as it builds on its achievements in Nasarawa State.
