The Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi A. Sule, has paid a condolence visit to former Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Attahiru Jega, following the death of his wife, Hajiya Hadiza Jega.
Sule, who also serves as Chairman of the North Central Governors Forum, described the passing of the deceased as a profound loss not only to the immediate family but to the nation at large. He urged Prof. Jega and members of his family to remain steadfast and accept the loss as the will of Almighty Allah, emphasizing that death is an inevitable part of life.
During the visit, the governor offered prayers for the repose of the deceased’s soul, asking Allah to forgive her shortcomings and grant her Al-jannatul Firdaus. He also prayed for strength and comfort for the bereaved family during this difficult time.
Prof. Jega, who currently chairs the Governing Council of Nasarawa State University, received the governor alongside family members and close associates.
