Sule’s Educational Background Key to Nasarawa’s Progress — Hon. Ibrahim Hamza

By Our Reporter

A former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) scribe, Ibrahim Hamza, who early last year defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), has praised Governor Abdullahi Sule for his strong commitment to education and purposeful leadership in Nasarawa State.
Hamza, who holds the traditional title of Karfen Dawaki of Lafia, said Governor Sule’s early educational background in technical studies laid the foundation for his pragmatic and development-driven approach to governance.
According to him, the governor’s progression from technical school to gaining extensive private sector experience exposed him to global standards, which are now reflected in the policies and reforms being implemented across the state.
He noted that education remains central to the governor’s vision, describing it as the bedrock upon which sustainable development is built. Hamza commended the administration’s investments in improving school infrastructure, expanding access to quality education, and promoting both formal and technical learning.
“Governor Sule understands that education is the foundation of all progress. His policies clearly show a commitment to empowering the younger generation with the knowledge and skills needed to compete globally,” he said.
The former PDP chieftain emphasized that the gains recorded in the education sector and other areas must be preserved, calling on the people of Nasarawa State to support the governor, especially as his administration approaches a transition period.
He stressed that continuity in leadership is crucial to sustaining ongoing reforms, warning that a lack of support could undermine the progress already achieved.
Hamza further urged residents to rally behind Governor Sule to ensure a smooth transition that would produce a capable successor who can build on the existing foundation.
“The governor needs the full support of the people at this critical time to bring in a leader who will continue from where he stops. This is the only way to sustain development and move the state forward,” he added.
He concluded that Governor Sule’s legacy would not only be measured by his achievements in office but also by his ability to ensure a seamless transition that guarantees continued growth and stability for Nasarawa State.
