The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR, Nasarawa State Chapter has congratulated Muktar Wakeel on his appointment as Director Public Relations and Protocol Isa Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic Lafia, just it  underscored the invaluable importance of appointing qualified, card-carrying public relations professionals as heads of public relations in both both public or private organisations as stipulated in the establishment law, stating that doing otherwise is a contravention of the law.

Nasarawa State Chairman of the Institute, Compt. Joseph Attah Rtd, made this known in a congratulatory message to Mukhtar Wakeel, a copy of which was made available to Nasarawa Eye and signed by Media aide to the chairman, Shuaibu Usman.

Attah said the NIPR was confident that Wakeel’s reputation and PR skills would positively reposition the public image of the institution, adding that Wakeel “as a ranking member of the State Executive Council of the NIPR, his appointment points the right way for other organisations in the state to appoint only professionals as public relations officers”.

He encouraged citizens to serve with patriotism and excellence, maintaining that the appointee as a former Interim Registrar of the Polytechnic and former Chairman of the NIPR in the state considered it as a national assignment to take up appointment as Director of Public Relations and Protocol of IMAP and Vice Chairman of the Institute exemplifying his mark of selflessness and value creation for purposeful development.

The NIPR Chairman prayed for God’s blessings as he assumed duty, pledging to work closely with the institution to provide quality service.
