Intensified Efforts To Check Crime And Criminality In Nasarawa- Engr Sule Urges Security Agencies

Nasarawa State Governor elect Engr Abdullahi Sule has urged security agencies in the state to intensified efforts to check Crime and Criminality in Nasarawa to avoid waste of human lives. Engr Sule Who made the call while on a visit to the palace of Chun Mada in Akwanga yesterday to commiserate with him, described the attacks of innocent souls at Numa village on Sunday night in Akwanga local government area as barbaric and unjustifiable.

According to the Governor elect, he received the unpleasant news of the attack while he was abroad, and it is the reason he rushed home to sympathise with the families of the victims.

Engr Sule then used the visit and called on all the leaders of ethnic and religious groups in the State, to come together and find way of putting to an end to the perennial communal and ethnic skirmishes in the State.

He further revealed that since his victory at the recent gubernatorial election, he has been meeting with the investors on the need to come and invest in the State assuring them of mutual peaceful coexistence but if this bad incident keeps occurring it may scare the investors from coming to the State.

He tasks the security operatives to intensify more effort to apprehend the perpetrators of the dastardly act and made them to face the full wrath of the law to serve as deterrent to others. Engr Sule then made cash donations to all the affected families of the victims who lost their love ones in the banditry attack.

On his part, the Chun Mada Samson Gamu Yare thanked the Governor elect and his entourage for the condolence, and assured him of finding lasting solution to the problem.

Engr Sule rounded off his visit to Chun Masa by visiting the victims of the attack and prayed God to grant them quick recovery.

The governor elect also visited Andaha to condole the families of late chief imam of Andaha and Baba Sale Chube where he
prayed God to grant the deceased an eternal rest.
