Traditional Rulers Commends Gov. Sule On peaceful Sallah Celebration

Traditional rulers in Nasarawa State have commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for a hitch free Sallah celebration across the state.

Chairman of the Nasarawa State Traditional Council and Emir of Lafia, HRH Justice Sidi Dauda Bage, gave the commendation when members of the council paid Sallah homage to the governor at the Lafia Government House on Wednesday.

Represented at the event by the Emir of Keffi, HRH Dr. Shehu Chindo Yamusa, the traditional rulers expressed their appreciation to the governor for witnessing the Sallah celebration with no record of any conflict.

While noting that the state has continued to record peace since the inception of the Engineer Sule administration, the traditional rulers reaffirmed their total unity for the development and progress of the state.

“We appreciate your government, since your inception we have been recording peace in this state. We appreciate you. We are all here to show our appreciation on the Sallah celebration,” the tradional rulers told Engineer Sule.

Responding, Engineer Sule thanked the royal fathers for keeping with the tradition when they visited on Sallah homage at the Government House, describing as “unimaginable” the kind of support the administration has continued to enjoy from traditional rulers, especially in the area of security.

The governor acknowledged the role of the royal fathers in resolving some of the security challenges faced by the people, especially in Nasarawa, Doma Akwanga and Awe Local Government Areas.

“In all the areas we have been following up and we know all the roles you have been playing in ensuring that these crises are being managed efficiently,” Engineer Sule told the royal fathers.

He equally thanked the traditional rulers for their hospitality towards possible investors who visited various areas on interest across the state.
