Nigeria Institute Of Mechanical Engineers Honours Gov Sule

Nigeria Institutes of Mechanical Engineers which has 28 Professional Chapters and 32 Student Chapters domiciled in Polytechnics and Universities across the nation, has honoured Engineer Abdullahi A Sule, the Governor of Nasarawa State as ‘Fellow’ of the institute, describing him as a “Political leader who is worthy of trust”

In a press statement issued by DG, Strategic Communications and Press Affairs, Government House, Malam Yakubu Lamai said the institute honoured the governor in Abuja for his contributions towards the development of institute in Nigeria. According to the statement, the institute further described Governor Abdullahi A. Sule as a “rare gem and a new breed of Nigerian Politician who is different from the run of the mill and whose style of leadership pedigree, work ethics and antecedents speak to the true virtues, imprimatur qualities of educated mind and a politician who respects and keeps the public trust”.

The statement stressed that the Institute noted the meticulous approach to governance which Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule has adopted in Nasarawa State and the futuristic value of NEDS: Nasarawa Economic Development Strategy which the Governor recently presented to the UN Deputy scribe, Amina Mohammed in New York.

The statement also qoated the Institute as applauding Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule for applying best practices and global standards in running the affairs of Nasarawa state in line with the objectives of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.

On his part, the statement reads: “Engineer Abdullahi A. Abdullahi A Sule said that he had a longstanding relationship with the Institute and he was particularly honored that a Chapter of the Nigeria Institute of Mechanical Engineers will finally be created in Nasarawa State at this point in history when he is the Governor”
