Gov Sule Makes N10m Personal Donation For Separation Of Conjoined Twins

Nasarawa State Governor, Engineer Sule has personally donated N10m to help pay the cost of separating two Conjoined twins at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Keffi.

Engineer Sule made the donation when he paid an unscheduled visit at the hospital on Friday.

According to a statement issued by Yakubu Lamai, Director General, Strategic Communication and Press Affairs, the Governor who was returning from a trip to Abuja, detoured into the hospital where he was received by the Head, Clinical Services.

After watching a presentation by a team of medical experts, where Engineer Sule received more details about the major surgery about to take place in order to separate the Conjoined twins, he was moved to make a personal donation of N10m to facilitate the operation.

Engineer Sule was told that to separate Hassana and Hussaina, delivered at a hospital in Nasarawa Local Government Area, who were joined at the abdomen, a team of 35 medical experts have been assembled by the FMC Keffi, with the surgery costing N25 million naira.

According to the hospital officials, the operation is to be performed next week.

The Governor commended the medical center for it’s confidence and preparedness to undertake such a major surgical procedure, praying that God will crown their efforts with success.
