NSSG To Acquire New OB Van For NBS To Boost Coverage

Nasarawa state Commissioner of Information Culture and Tourism, Honourable Dogo Shamma has said, the state government would provide new Outside Broadcasting Van (OB Van) to the Nasarawa Broadcasting Service (NBS) Lafia for optimal performance.
The Commissioner who revealed this while granting audience to Members of the Governing Board NBS Lafia in his office recently. He stated that, government would provide the OB Vans for both the Radio and Television arms of the stations so as to enable them provide live coverage for the people of the state.
He said Governor Abdullahi Sule has the passion to restructure the NBS station to be at par with its contemporary media outfits around the world, stressing that, in no distance time the station would receive the OB Vans and other working tools that would enable the station gives a wider coverage.
Dogo Shamma challenge the management of the NBS station to come out with the programmes that would showcase the developmental policies of the present administration in the state, noting that, Governor Abdullahi Sule will soon clock one year in office.
He said, the activities of government in the state were under reported by the media, taking into consideration the laudable policies and programmes of Governor Abdullahi Sule which according to him, have turn the fortune of the state through his Nasarawa Economic Development Strategic (NEDS) within the short period in the office.
The Information, Culture and Tourism Commissioner called on the media practitioners in the state to give the developmental reportage that would enable Governor Abdullahi Sule take the state to the next level of development.
Earlier, the Chairmen of NBS Governing Board, Rafeal Saa’aka said, they were in the commissioner office to congratulated him over his appointment and sought for the support of the ministry to the NBS to enable the station disseminate the government activities to the people.
Saa’aka maintained that, NBS station as a parastatal under ministry of information, Culture and Tourism would not failed on its mandate in projecting the image of the state government just as a role of the ministry, adding that, the organization would always sought the support of its parent ministry.
He then called on the staff of the ministry to support the Commissioner to enable him deliver his mandate.
