Senator Umaru Tanko Al-makura, has felicitated with the Emir of Lafia, HRH Justice Sidi Dauda Bage I (Rtd), for clocking one year on the throne.

The Senator in a congratulatory message issued by his Senior Legislative Aide, Atose Muhammad, said in just one year of leadership, Justice Sidi Dauda Bage I (Rtd) has displayed passion, compassion, courage and selflessness in ruling his people by paying close attention to their needs and by responding appropriately to them.

Senator Al-Makura noted that, since his ascension to the throne, Justice Sidi Dauda Bage I has been leading his people successfully as he contributes to the political and socioeconomic development of the emirate.

Al-Makura also urged the Emir to continue to use his fatherly position and an insatiable appetite for peace to continue to pray for the state and the country at large, and to continue to give suggestions that will be of help to the government of the day, especially at this trying moment of the dreaded world pandemic called COVID19.

Senator Al-Makura also said Rtd Justice Sidi Dauda Bage I has been pursuing justice, peaceful coexistence, tolerance and nation building in a manner that has made Lafia a home for all.

The Senator also prayed God to grant the Emir good health, more wisdom, courage, and long reign to continue to rule his people and serve Nigeria.
