June 12: NSHA Speaker Calls For Sustenance Of Democracy

Speaker Nasarawa State House of Assembly Rt.Hon.Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi has advocated sustenance of democracy in the country as the best form of government that involves mass citizens participation, enhancement of social welfare and Democratic dividends for the people.A statement by Press Secretary to the Speaker Jibrin Gwamna indicates that the Speaker made the call in his message to mark the 21st anniversary of the country’s return to civil rule.The statement quotes Speaker Balarabe Abdullahi as saying that President Mohammadu Buhari is a true and pragmatic democrat who is acknowledging and honouring sacrifices made by Nigerians especially his recognition for June 12,1993.annulled election in the country.Balarabe Abdullahi emphasized that 21 unbroken democracy in the country is a great fit that should be sustained considering the importance,impact and benefit of democracy among citizens.The Nasarawa State Number Three Citizen who is the National Vice Chairman,North Central Nigeria Conference of Speakers of State Legislators saluted the people of the state and the country at large for their sacrifices,understanding and support for the government of Engr.Abdullahi Sule and President Mohammadu Buhari and urged them to keep the flag flying.He equally reminded citizens on the need to be confident in democratic governance,support and pray for leaders to succeed thus reaffirmed the 6th assembly’s commitment under his watch to give Governor Abdullahi Sule all the needed support to succeed.
